My Background
My artwork and class offerings are a result of my personal journey of self-exploration over the past 15 years, and I have studied drawing, painting, mixed media techniques at UC Davis, the Richmond Art Center, and Parque Lage School of Visual Arts in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I have a BA in Spanish from UC Davis and have almost a decade of experience teaching Art, Spanish, and English as a Foreign Language to students of all ages and experience levels.
Throughout my life, my artistic practice has been a steadying, anchoring force. I believe that art can be healing and liberating, and that accessing our innate creativity is essential to our collective well being in these critical times. I am passionate about helping others connect with their own authentic self-expression.
With roots in the diverse Bay Area, I grew up in a bicultural and bilingual home on traditional Lisjan Ohlone territory (Richmond, CA). My mother was from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and my childhood was spent with a foot in each place. I also lived over 5 years in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where I worked and studied art. My lifetime of experiences "between worlds" has greatly influenced my perspective, and I aim to maintain space for the complexities of identity, language, culture, and self-expression in my work.

My Art
I am interested in exploring movement, color, and gestural, organic forms. My favorite artistic mediums are painting (watercolor, oil, and acrylic), drawing, collage, and creative journaling. As I create, my goal is to allow my intuitive aesthetic wisdom to drive the creation of each piece. In the face of the inner critic and self-doubt, I ask myself, "What is my next right step?" and create accordingly. Art has consistently been a source of healing and spiritual connection for me, and themes in my artwork include my emotions, ritual objects and altars, the elements, and archetypes.

My Teaching
My classes are containers for creative exploration. As a teacher, my goal is to encourage students of all ages, identities, and experience levels to experiment and grow. I believe that art can be healing and liberating, and that access to self-expression and creativity is essential to our collective well being. I encourage creative self expansion through drawing, painting, writing, and SoulCollage® workshops. Classes are available in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

SoulCollage® Workshops
SoulCollage® is an intuitive collage method where participants make collages on 5 x 8” cards and then interact with the image they created to connect with their inner wisdom and multifaceted self. I first encountered this self-directed art therapy process in 2016, in a grief support group after my mother passed away. I was instantly drawn to the powerful, healing messages that I received through the technique and have gone on to build a personal deck of cards that I use to understand myself and access my intuition. One of the things I love about SoulCollage® is that it is intuitive, straightforward and accessible, even for those who don't consider themselves "artists". I completed the SoulCollage® Facilitation training in April of 2021 and am passionate about sharing this simple, yet impactful way of combining art and self-discovery.
